TailorCV Privacy Policy

TailorCV (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Can Demirgures. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TailorCV mobile application (“the App”).
- Resume content — text, work history, and other content you upload to the App for the purpose of tailoring your resume.
- Job descriptions — text or links you paste into the App to tailor your resume against.
- Subscription information — when you purchase TailorCV Pro, Apple shares your subscription status with us through RevenueCat.
- Usage data — anonymous statistics about how features are used (e.g. number of resumes tailored), used to improve the App.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, app version, and language settings.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the core service — generating tailored resumes, ATS match scores, and cover letters based on your input.
- Maintain your resume versions locally on your device.
- Process and manage your subscription.
- Improve the App through aggregated usage analysis.
- Respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the App:
- Anthropic — when you tailor a resume, the text of your resume and the job description are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for AI processing. See https://www.anthropic.com/privacy.
- RevenueCat — used to manage subscription state on iOS.
- Apple — App Store handles all payment processing; we never see your payment details.
Data Retention
- All user content (resumes, tailored versions) is stored locally on your device only. When you delete the App or use “Delete account” in the app, this data is permanently removed from your device.
- Subscription records are retained by Apple/RevenueCat as long as your subscription is active plus 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete all your data — via Profile → Delete account, which wipes everything locally.
- Cancel your subscription — via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Request info about our processing — email support@tailorcv.app.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Children’s Privacy
TailorCV is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit) when sending data to third-party services.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this Privacy Policy as needed. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date.
